Good evening Fuzz! Just wanted to share some information with all of you experiencing purchasing problems. First let me say that I apologize to ANY fan who has tried to purchase or download a track on my page. I was completely unaware that FUZZ does not allow (at this time) monies exchanged from the UK.:( It is NOT a technical issue but a legal one. So to ALL of you music lovers in the UK trying to purchase "USA" artists music.....hang in there. Maybe in the near future the world will truly be connected by music!

I can add that it also did not work for me as someone from Germany, but I've also heard from another artist that a purchase from the UK did not work. This is funny in a way, because if the artist sells directly to the fan (e.g. by sending an email attachment) or through Ebay or whatever there won't be a problem.

That's really odd cause it's possible for Germans to by CDs on Amazon.com or CD Baby and alike. But at the same time I can't purchase mp3s from the US itunes store (only from the German itunes store).

Hm, SomeVapourTrails just tried to purchase a song from the Sables (UK) but it's not possible too. It seems like just Americans can use the store :-(

I have not yet heard of problems with free downloads. But back to topic: I don't think the United States of America have worldwide bilateral agreements with the outher countries that download purchases are not allowed, otherwise I couldn't even buy download software. I wonder if Fuzz management will tell us what it's about. I do know that Snocap, who mainly work with myspace, also only sell downloads to US Americans. So much about globalized markets ;-)

Hmmm, on second thoughts it might have to do with Fuzz acting as some kind of a bank, because they collect money for the artist in order to forward it immediately or later on. So if it's only a 1 Dollar purchase they won't forward money from let's say Hong Kong to the USA, considering the banking charges, instead they will wait until a larger amount of money is collected.
But what I find strange is that Fuzz does not bother to TELL anyone. It could at least be an error message when the persons who wish to do a purchase enter their country.

On third thoughts it might even be too expensive to collect one dollar from Hong Kong or the UK to the States. That would be an economic not a legal issue of course.

I didn't experience any problems with free downloads (even when I downloaded Jostel's "In your Whirl" Fuzz let me do it). The money exchange between America and other countries shouldn't be a problem with paypal..a lot of web services, labels and artists are using it. The problem might be that songs published on Fuzz are American releases - not International releases. (Once a song is offered in the Fuzz store - it's officially released) This is actually the reason why I can't use the American itunes store. Some songs + TV series are released only for the American market.....Other web services that come to my mind have stores for each country (like 7digital etc).

But I do agree with all of you: It's time that these borders between countries vanish - not only in a musical way :-))
